SPACEDUCATION

Our principal researcher, María José Contreras is currently doing a research stay at the Astrobiology Center CSIC-INTA associated to NASA Astrobiology Institute. During a period of three months (from September 2018 to December 2018), María José is coworking with Juan Ángel Vaquerizo, who is coordinator of the Scientific Culture Unit. The main objective of Scientific Culture Unit is to promote the dissemination of scientific advances in the Astrobiology field. The Unit seeks to enhance the social function of research and the dissemination of knowledge, being a Center in permanent contact with society, dynamic and interactive with the media, by bringing near the research, discoveries and newest technological developments to all citizens.

We hope a close collaboration between Astrobiology Center and our lab UNED in near future, as a result of this María José Contreras ‘s collaboration period. We wish analyze the impact of public engagement with research activities related to Natural Ciences (Biology, Chemist, Physics) and Engineering, develop science' communication and engagement skills.
